Our Faith
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary school is a faith community based on belief in God, a strong focus in ‘sharing the spirit’ under the guidance of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart and St Mary MacKillop, and a Christian way of life.
As part of a System of Schools within the Armidale Diocese, families are supported in their efforts to support the development of spiritual, social, emotional and academic well-being of the children entrusted to our care.
Religious education underpins all aspects of daily learning experiences of your child at St Joseph’s Primary School through Core Catholic Principles and Values.
The Principle of the Primacy of God
God is first in all things.
We are called to love God and our Neighbour.
The Principle of the Sanctity of Life
All life is a gift from God.
We are called to respect each person and care for all of God’s creation.
The Principle of the Fidelity in Relationships
All relationships are made holy and sacred through Jesus.
We are called to be truthful and faithful in our relationships.
The Principle of the Common Good
All people are connected to each other as part of the human family.
We have a responsibility to care for the wellbeing of all people.
We work collaboratively with St Brigid’s Parish Catechists to support students and families in receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation who are baptised into the Catholic faith
We celebrate Mass (generally on a fortnightly basis K-2 and 3-6 but in line with current COVID advice) with the parishioners of St Brigid’s Church where all are warmly invited to attend
Parish mass is celebrated at St Brigid’s Church, Quirindi each week: Saturday Vigil 5pm and Sunday 9:30am
